Scholarship Information

Elks Schoarships

For general students and for family of Elks members.  Please find application at:  https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/MVS.cfm

Amount:  $1,000-12,500 per year        Deadline:  November 5th

Vietnam Veterans Local 947 Scholarship

Awarding scholarships for descendants of Vietnam Veterans attending college or trade school fall of 2020.  These can be grandchildren, nieces, or nephews.  A 3 paragraph paper is required along with the application.  Applications can be picked up from Mr. Bliss. 

Amount:  $750                                Deadline:  March 6, 2020

Horatio Alger Scholarship

2020 high school graduates are encouraged to apply.  Students must have a demonstrated financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income), minimum GPA of 2.0, and U.S. citizenship.  Applications can be accessed at the following web address:  scholars.horatioalger.org

Amount:  $10,000 to $25,000            Deadline:  October 25, 2019

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

Are you a students who has made a difference?  Apply now for the 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards by accessing the online application:  spirit.prudential.com

Amount:  $1,000                               Deadline:  November 5, 2019

 

Greenhouse Scholars

Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Household annual income of $70,000 or less and pursuing a degree at a four-year college or university.
