Art 1: Begin a drawing with at least 5 of the 7 objects listed in it. May shade and add color

Art 2: Cupcake pencil drawing. Shade and show value.

Art 3: Name the painting on the chalkboard.  Students will draw a portrait using charcoal.  May add color to one feature or to one other thing in drawing.

Art 4:  Name the painting on the chalkboard.  Begin drawing and enlarging proportionately a small square from another piece of artwork.  Everyone’s picture will be put together to form one large picture.

Art History :  Begin Chapter 1. What Is Art? Students will watch a Slide show and discuss Sections 1 and 2. Students will complete Fill-in-the-blank sheet.

Art 1:  Students will draw the same drawing from yesterday but now will draw it right-side up.

Art 2:  Students will continue to work on letter repeat drawing.

Art 3:  Students will choose a landscape to be drawing using chalk pastels. May use either black or white paper.

Art 4: Students will look at the work of Chuck Close, Claude Monet, and Georges Seurat along with the artistic styles of impressionism, pointillism, and photo realism.  Students will then either finish their enlargement drawing or begin a mini photorealism painting also using a grid to enlarge.  Students will also begin planning for large photorealism painting.

Art History :   Students will watch and discuss slide show over Sections III, IV, and V.  Students will complete fill-in-the-blank sheets over chapter.
