Student Recognition
Illinois State Scholars -- The Illinois Student Assistance Commission has announced the Illinois State Scholars for this year. The State Scholar program recognizes Illinois high school students for outstanding academic achievement. Illini West High School is pleased to announce that 14 current seniors have been selected. | STUDENTS OF THE MONTH Each month a male and female student will be chosen as Student of the Month. Nominations will be made by the Faculty of IWHS based on the following criteria: attitude, academic standing, work ethic, leadership, character, effort and extra-curricular involvement. From these nominations the two students will be chosen. |

| HONOR ROLLS Students receive three types of recognition: High Honors -- those with a grade point average of 3.75-4.00. Honors -- those with a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.749. Honorable Mention -- those with a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.499. |
